In the 1990s, chlorinated rubber coating is the main finishing coat of steel structure, accounting for more than 60% of the total. Chlorinated rubber coating has good water resistance, atmospheric aging resistance, corrosion resistance, single component construction and comprehensive performance. However, CCl4 used in the production of chlorinated rubber paint will destroy the ozone layer. With the implementation of Montreal environmental protection regulations, PPG, Jotun, Akzo, Nobel, Kansai and other companies have replaced chlorinated rubber topcoat with acrylic topcoat since 2006; domestic coating manufacturers have also reduced the production of chlorinated rubber topcoat.
At present, high-performance acrylic polyurethane top coat, fluorocarbon top coat and polysiloxane top coat are the first choice of architectural steel structure top coat, especially polysiloxane top coat, which has more excellent environmental protection performance, which is reflected in:
1. High volume solid content and low VOC. For example, the solid volume of American and psx is about 90%, with VOC = 120g / L.
2. No toxic isocyanates.
3. It has good matching performance with epoxy zinc rich primer and inorganic zinc rich primer, and can save epoxy middle layer paint. Direct re coating of polysiloxane finish is beneficial to energy saving and environmental protection.
4. Several epoxy polysiloxane topcoats are low surface treatment coatings. They can not only be directly sprayed on the steel plate after sandblasting, but also can be sprayed on the substrate surface of rusted steel plate and old paint film which have been properly treated. The environmental protection benefit is more obvious.
5. All kinds of polysiloxane finish not only have excellent weather resistance, light and color retention, but also have excellent corrosion resistance. According to LCC life cycle analysis method, it can reduce the maintenance times and improve the environmental protection level.
